MindWorx Counselling Services: Your Partner in Mental Health

Free Initial Consult

A free initial 15 - 20 minutes phone consultation is provided to discuss your reason for seeking counselling and to ensure our services are appropriate for your needs.

Assessment

A 60–90 minute clinical assessment may be recommended before counselling or OT treatment begins. This includes a one-page summary with recommendations and a personalized treatment plan. Specialized assessments for insurance, work, school, or other areas are available upon request.

Counselling

Individual counselling for children (age 6+) and adults, tailored to your unique goals and challenges. Counselling can support you through:

  • Anxiety or depression
  • Life transitions or major changes
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma or past difficult experiences
  • Relationship or family challenges
  • Stress, burnout, or overwhelm
  • Low self-esteem or identity concerns
  • Adjusting to illness or injury.

Sessions focus on building insight, developing coping strategies, and fostering resilience in a warm, collaborative environment. Counselling can be provided alongside OT intervention. 

Occupational Therapy

Support for mental health, daily routines, coping skills, return-to-work/school planning, and engagement in meaningful activities. OT can also address physical health needs such as mobility, strength, coordination, and pain management. We help clients improve home safety, build independence, and achieve personalized goals across all areas of life. Services are available virtually, or in your home/community depending on your needs.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a structured, evidence-based treatment that helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours through collaborative, goal-oriented work. It is typically offered once a week for 8 to 12 sessions, depending on your needs and goals.
CBT is available for:  

  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders (including GAD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, and OCD)
  • Trauma
  • Serious and persistent mental illness

CBT empowers clients with practical skills to manage symptoms, build resilience, and improve daily functioning.
